A few words from our President...

an open letter to the students from Mr. Stefano Secoli, President of Istituto Secoli

"Dear students,

The Italian success in the apparel market is linked to the Italian ability of producing fashion industrially. The union between creativity and industry has amplified the design aspect and freed it from the constrained limits of haute couture. Today, what started in the early '70's has come to its evolutionary peak: the true production of fashion companies is planning, companies concentrate and focus on planning, improving their efficiency.

Our formative proposition is based on a very simple concept deriving from a fact: ready-to-wear is designed in Italy because Italy has the knowledge and means to produce it. This is the reason why even overseas graduates in fashion should come and study at our Institute the Italian way of fashion designing; from sketch to basic patterns, their transformations, industrialization, prototypes, samples collection and size grading.

 
Our favourite quote is: creativity within fashion field is expressed by the garment. The creative idea practical and physical realization, this is the real goal. Here you will learn how to translate your design ideas into a perfectly conceived and manufactured garment. That makes possible that even genious sketches won't reamain just inmaterial dreams.
